The following positions are currently available with Washington National Opera:

OFFICE MANAGER
Washington National Opera seeks an Office Manager–Watergate to be responsible for managing all incoming calls and visitors, ordering supplies, processing leave balances, and working with the Human Resources Department on special projects. Qualified candidates will have 1-2 plus years administrative experience, excellent organizational and communication skills, computer experience, including Microsoft Office, and a professional and friendly demeanor. Background or interest in the performing arts preferred. 

SALES MANAGER

Washington National Opera has an opening in the Marketing Department for a Sales Manager, who will be responsible for developing and instituting strategies and initiatives to assist the company in reaching its annual earned revenue goals by increasing ticket sales.  S/he will successfully plan and implement sales tactics targeted at groups of ten or more to the Opera’s visibility and outreach through experience based packages.  The Sales Manager will provide the highest level of customer service, assist in developing strategies for establishing sales campaigns to promote individual events, and represent the Opera at performances and external meetings and events.  Successful candidates will have 5+ years sales experience, group sales or tourism experience especially beneficial.  A sales and promotions background and experience in Tessitura or other ticketing and guest reservation systems is preferred.  Must have experience with and knowledge of computerized information systems and their applications, including Microsoft Office.  Outstanding interpersonal and customer services skills required.  Great benefits included.
