PRESS RELEASES

WNO maintains an extensive library of production and company images. Above, WNO’s 2008 production of The Pearl Fishers, credit Karin Cooper.

PRESS IMAGES

WNO holds an extensive library of images for all productions, as well as institutional images, which are available to the media for the express purposes of promotion and publicity related to WNO events and activities.

Promotional images for upcoming productions are available several months in advance, with current production imagery available approximately 48 hours in advance of an opening (or earlier, by arrangement). Due to copyright restrictions which prohibit personal usage of photography, WNO images are available via a private online gallery. To access this gallery or request images, members of the media may contact the WNO Media Relations Office.

PRESS TICKETS

Washington National Opera welcomes members of the media to experience a WNO production, and as such, we reserve a limited number of complimentary press tickets for most performances and special events. Tickets are primarily intended for media who have been assigned to cover a WNO production or event. When available, WNO may also offer press tickets to members of the media who may not plan to cover a particular production, but may cover WNO in the future.

To request tickets: Members of the media must submit requests in writing (via email) to the WNO Media Relations office. The request should indicate a first-choice and a second-choice performance date, as well as coverage plans. Due to high demand for press tickets, it is strongly recommended that media submit requests at least 3 weeks, and up to two months, in advance of the opening of a production. All press tickets are at the discretion of the WNO Media Relations office, and are guaranteed once a request has been confirmed by a WNO Media Relations representative.
