In ancient China, any brave suitor seeking the hand of Princess Turandot is subjected to three impossible riddles. Failure means certain death, but Calaf (Darío Volonté/Franco Farina) risks everything in Puccini's
celebrated opera of soaring melodies, including the sublime “Nessun dorma.” Blazing dramatic sopranos Maria Guleghina and Sylvie Valayre share the role of Turandot. Conductor Keri-Lynn Wilson makes her WNO debut.
