WNO offers a behind-the-scenes view of A View from the Bridge with a new online rehearsal journal. Follow along as our journalist, Tom Minter, reports on the rehearsal process for mounting William Bolcom’s contemporary masterpiece. You will gain access to a world few see as Tom gives you a play-by-play of how our artists and designers prepare for this Washington, D.C., premiere, from chorus rehearsals and supernumerary casting all the way to the final dress.
By following along, you will gain greater insight into this very important work. We hope that this online journal will make your experience at the theater even more memorable or give those who have not yet purchased their tickets to View more incentive to join us. We’ll post new entries three times a week, so check back often and submit your comments or questions. Enjoy your view of View!
