Generation O:
GenO is DC's largest young professional arts-lover program, welcoming those 18-35 who are interested in opera to connect with each other and take part in educational programs and social events. Out @ the Opera:
Out @ the Opera program features pre- and post-opera receptions, backstage tours, and meetings with artists. This innovative program is designed to welcome the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) community into the world of opera. Members receive special invitations and offers throughout the year. Registration is free, but only registered members will receive our e-offers. Register for Out @ the Opera today. Specially Priced Tickets (SPTs):
A discount program for students, seniors, military personnel, persons with fixed low incomes and persons with permanent disabilities offered through The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. SPTs for Washington National Opera performances are only available on the day of the selected performance at the Kennedy Center Main Box Office in the Hall of States (subject to availability). SPTs go on sale at 6:00 PM for evening performances and at 12:00 PM for matinees. Click here for more information and eligibility guidelines. You must present proof of eligibility when purchasing tickets.
Standing Room Only (SRO):
SRO tickets are released for sale on the day of the performance and only if that performance has reached sold out status. Tickets can be purchased directly through WNO Audiences Services by calling 202.295.2400 or 800.US.OPERA until 5:00 PM on weekdays. Standing room for weekend performances is available by phone until 5:00 PM on Fridays. Any remaining tickets will also be available for cash purchase only at the WNO Concierge Desk 90 minutes prior to curtain.
