Washington National Opera’s Midwinter Gala is presented annually by the WNO Women’s Committee to benefit the Opera and its Center for Education and Training. This year’s gala, given under the patronage of His Excellency the Ambassador of India and Mrs. Sen, will celebrate the city of Agra and the romantic story of the Taj Mahal, befitting of the Valentine’s season. Gala Chairman is Caroline Boutté with Kim Nettles serving as Co-Chairman.
Midwinter Gala is held at Washington’s grand Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium on Constitution Avenue. This black-tie event begins at 6:30 p.m. with cocktails and a silent auction. At 8:30 p.m., guests move into the lavishly-decorated ballroom for a seated dinner of authentic Indian cuisine, a live auction, and surprise entertainment.
Please note that the 2008 Midwinter Gala is now SOLD OUT.
